It is 8:30 on a Saturday morning and I am the only one awake.

I am listening to the songbirds in the backyard and smelling the coffee brew while I sit in my favorite rocking chair and write.

Pretty, aren’t they:

The kitchen is clean, breakfast is on the table, the first load of laundry is going, and I am feeling at peace with the world.

So what am I going to do with this rare moment? Sit outside with my coffee and devotions for a lovely start to the day. On the top of my prayer list – praise for the rare quiet moment.

Miracles do happen!

Uh oh, I just heard little footsteps.

Some miracles are short-lived.

My favorite time of the day. Was always a night person in my younger days but now I love to get up right before the sun comes up, sit outside with my coffee and listen to the rest of the world wake up.

      Mine too.
I have always loved mornings… and breakfast.
Syrup, coffee, muffins – Yum! What’s not to love about mornings.

It may have been short lived BUT a miracle never the less. :)
