Words I never thought I’d hear myself say:

“You may NOT yell at your sister in sign.

Apologize immediately!”

For the record, I didn’t even know you could yell in sign-language until today.  It isn’t as hard to recognize as you would think.  One child got right in another’s face, and about one inch from their nose they violently signed “No – stop – no – I break!”

See – you recognize it too, right?

(Disclaimer: the  cute child signing in the photo is not necessarily the guilty party)

I know that we have a long way to go in learning to communicate with our new deaf cousin, but obviously we are all beginning to see  sign-language as a valid way to speak to one another, and we are (stiltedly) making ourselves known.  I can’t wait until the day that I catch them “whispering” in a corner as they work out the details for a new invention or share secrets.

*Sigh* A new way to yell … I can’t believe I am happy about this.

Love your new blog. I love the way the kids try to find new ways to sneak things by mom. Your kids are smart. :)
